Starting Week 2 of Using the Wellbox for Cellulite
…and I have seen no improvement as of yet. Not that I should be expecting miracles :( I bought the Wellbox unit after I was fully healed from Lipo and thought it migth help with scar tissue. Although, in hindsight, I probably should have bought it when I was healing before the scar tissue even formed. However, it is designed to help cellulite and promote collagen production. That and eating more healthily and drinking more water, I am hoping to see a difference in the appearance of my skin (on my legs). My stomach shot [from the scar tissue] is just shot so I have no hope that the Wellbox will improve that. Honestly the only thing I see that will help that is a reverse tummy tuck, and I am not doing that just so I can wear a bikini without being self conscious about some bumpiness.
I will keep you all posted, as I am sure there are many patients out there who wish to improve the appearance of their contour irregularities after lipo (or simply from cellulite). The unit cost me about 1,400.USD and pretty much looks like a home endermologie unit. There are several attachment heads for different areas of the body, although I do not use it on my face. The makers of Wellbox insist that it will improve the firmness of the facial skin, but I couldn’t try it there if I wanted to (because of the Feather Lift Threads).
Will post a follow-up next week…
Tumescent Liposuction or Finesse Liposuction?
You might be wondering what the difference between Traditional Liposuction and Finesse Liposuction is. Is it just a gimmicky name to sell the same procedure? Is it something else entirely? What exactly is it? I suppose it depends upon whom you ask.
Liposuction: My Personal Experience
I didn’t know whether to start out being primarily positive about my experience so those of you who are looking into liposuction
surgery would feel more at ease. But, as it is I am on the fence about the procedure itself. Granted, there are many, many wonderful results out there. There are many skilled surgeons and happy patients wandering around patting each other, or themselves, on the back. But the truth is, if you do have genetically predispositioned fat accumulation that will not go away no matter how hard you truly try, fat removal procedures are the only way you are going to rid yourself of it.
Why I wanted Liposuction
After starting Enhancement Media years ago and sitting in my uncomfortably, stupid-expensive Aeron chair for 10 to 12 hours a day, I gained weight. It may not have been substantial in numbers but it made an impact on my thighs and stomach. I did diet and exercise a good portion of it off, but I wanted to lose 5 more lb. As it happens, about that time I had been asked to be in a documentary about plastic surgery. And liposuction was on the menu.
I honestly didn’t want liposuction surgery at first. I wanted to get rid of it the fat, sure. But, I wanted to do it the traditional way (i.e. diet and exercise). Now, I wasn’t embarrassed that I was taking the “easy” way out as some had commented because, firstly, liposuction is NOT easy. It is also not without flaw. I knew this beforehand and was apprehensive about taking the chance.
How To Get Rid of the Cellulite
One of the worst enemies of summer: Cellulite. Nothing sounds more ominous when you’re in a bikini or a pair of booty shorts at the pool, beach, or lake. It’s the female version of the shrinkage factor, and we hate it!!! So, is it there to stay or can we rid ourselves of the cellulite curse?
If you feel you have unsightly cellulite, I am sure you have thought about trying those cellulite treatment creams. Heck, I have even bought a few of them myself. Well, don’t waste your time or your money. They don’t work for long at all after you remove it, and they definitely don’t work long-term.
