An Ultimate Tanning Lotion Comparison Research

7255591.jpgI was in the grocery store minding my own business when I was inexplicably struck by the irresistible urge to impulsively buy 5-types of sunless tanners. Four of them were the build-a-tan-daily lotions-plus-tanner variety (think of a watered-down, lotioned-up version of a sunless tanner) and one was a tanning gelee to compare depth of color. Now, I have never used daily tanning lotions before. I usually just use a standard sunless tanner and reapply every few days. However, I always wind up looking like a shedding snake no matter how much I exfoliate beforehand, and no matter how much I moisturize afterwards. And it can be quite apparent on my shins and outer, upper arms. Reapplying tanner after this point only makes matters worse for me, so I simply have to wait for it to exfoliate off and reapply two weeks later. So, I gave up. I haven’t used a sunless tanner in about 6 months.

BOTOX® Injections on a Cruise Ship?

norvegian_cruise_line.jpgWhat will they think of next? The ever popular Norwegian Cruise Line now offers BOTOX® Cosmetic to its passengers. All I can picture when I think of this is Doc from Love Boat injecting Mrs. Howell from Gilligan’s Island while the ship rocks back and forth from huge swells. And if the ship goes down, save the BOTOX®!

Not only does the cruise line offer BOTOX® to its passengers, they also offer Restylane and Perlane to fill lines, creases, and hollows. The cruise line‘s press release, states, “Guests can now return home from their cruise vacation looking and feeling rejuvenated.” And swollen, bruised and looking like fish if they get their lips injected Sriously, how many times have you hyaluronic acid hounds NOT had swelling after Resty or Perlane injections to the lips?

Your Best Body Moisturizer Pick?

7255273.jpgNow that it’s summer, your skin is probably getting its fair share of sun, dryness, salt, wind, and more. I haven’t even gone to the beach this summer as of yet as most of my weekends are spend jumping out and off of stuff—which I assure you plays a number on one’s skin. I am constantly dry out in this desert, my lips, my hair, my shoulders, my shins especially. So how do I keep from looking like a snake?? In this summer heat (yesterday it was 102F), even my horses are so dry they are rubbing the hair off their tails and necks. I have to keep slathering moisturizer on their tail docks, as well as other body parts. Be thankful you don’t have to use what they do.

To Tell or Not to Tell?

Every time someone asks my opinion on if they should tell a spouse, employer, friend, or child about their decision to have plastic surgery, my answer is always the same. This is a very personal decision that must be made on your own. For some, it is a decision made with much thought; for others it is simply a matter of when to tell. The question you have to ask yourself is what type of person are you?

Questions You Should Ask Yourself:

  1. Are you the type of person who is easily hurt by the judgmental comments of others?
  2. Are you afraid of the ramifications of your elective surgery and how they can affect your personal life if undesirables find out?
  3. Are you afraid that the news of your surgery may affect your job?
  4. Are you concerned that your significant other may be upset with you should you decide to have a cosmetic surgery procedure?
  5. Are you “thin-skinned” and concerned what others may think of you should they find out you have had a cosmetic procedure?

WEN Hair Care Products?

wen.jpgAs I was lying on the bed using my Wellbox unit, I flipped on the television and came across an infomercial for WEN Haircare products by Chaz Dean. Ever since removing my extensions my hair has gotten so much healthier. Of course, I have had to cut off a lot of damage, change homecare products and go in for regular treatments. But still, I feel my homecare is still lacking.
