Beauty Products: What’s On Your Sink Counter Right Now?

Thought this would be a fun little article. I was curious as to what you all may have within easy reach. I know the pic looks like a sinkcontents.jpgcommercial but that’s how it was when I went up there to take it.

  • Anthelios SPF 15: This is the first thing that goes on after I wash my face in the mornings. I wish I had the SPF 50 I got from Spain, but the 15 works fine. I highly recommend it!
  • Clinique Super City Block Tinted SPF 40: I have it out to remind me to give to a friend of mine, I don’t use it.
  • Skin Medica TNS Recovery Complex Body Lotion: I have been using this on my hands. I haven’t noticed any longterm improvement but it sure looks great after I put it on. Gee.
  • Strivectin SD: I don’t use it, but my hands have been looking awful lately so I figured I’d add it to my body products arsenal. I am going to start using it on my hands only as soon as I run out of the TNS body cream.
  • Aveeno Daily Moisturizer: Although I should be using it on my body and do when I reeeeally need it, I really have been lazy lately. I do, however, use it on a cotton ball to remove my eye make-up every night, and the leftovers the next morning.
  • Michael by Michael Kors Perfume: I use either this or my Issey every day. I love them equally.
  • Issey Miyake Perfume: See above.
  • An unused bottle of Pleasures by Estee Lauder perfume.  It was a gift and don’t know why it is on my counter except that I was unpacking and found it.
  • Cosmelan 2: I have been using it on my lower cheeks and neck because I broke out a few weeks ago and am fading the spots.

Post and let me know what you have within easy grasp! What can’t you live with out?

My must have products are Sofina Mild Wash, Sofina Rise Lotion (actually a moisturizing toner), SkinMedica Vit C Serum, Sofina Milk (light lotion), Sofina Perfect UV 50++, and Canmake Eyelash Essence.. I tint my eyelashes- this seems to keep them healthier and thicker. I purchase the Sofina products online, they're a Japanese brand.. So far, they are fantastic- no irritation, very little scent and my skin loves it. Ceramides? I love the sunscreen, it's mattefying, and good for everyday commuting. If I'm going to sweat a lot, I'd prob use something heavier, for now- I just reapply if needed. Makes a freat make-up base as well. Fun question!

OMG I forgot about the eyelash tint. I used to tint mine with a product I can't remember the name of but I loved it. Do you have any suggestions? This was more like a brush on, semi-permanent tint in black. It made my eyelashes look great when I wasn't wearing mascara. The Canmake is a conditioner or base isn't it? Not a dye, right? Or am I mistaken?

I need to start using my eyelash conditioner again. That really works. I'll go up right now and use it ;)

1000 Hour eyelash tint in Blue-black is what I use, they have other natural colors too. Blue-black is just a DARK black. It works great. I use a spoolie brush from the Sephora store and not the wimpy thing that's enclosed. I also use far less than the instructions- so likely to get many applications from one kit. Internet orders- I think I ordered from here -

The Canmake Eyelash Essence is a panthenol based conditioner, works good on me, I get that from Bobodave online in addition to the Sofina products. I'm a nerd and tend to check out everything first.. I use MakeupAlley as a good review site, with a hearty grain of salt.

Marianne,
Based on my research, this is by far the cheapest web source of Anthelios w/Mexoryl. I use the SPF 50 (tinted).

I am trying Somme Institute's 5-step home-care regimen right now. It makes my skin look little shiny but they tell you that in the begining you might have this side effect if you have clogged pores. I can't live without my rose water( i purchase it in middle eastern stores and i use as toner...very cheap), my lancome mascara, my parfume EDEN.
