FulFilâ„¢ Lip Implant: What The??

rhinoplastygallery_drop.jpgWill wonders ever cease?  A new lip and facial implant design based upon the same science that brings us larger breasts is hitting the market.  The implant has already received CA marking.  Evera Medical, (formerly Juva Medical) of Foster City, California hopes to bring this new device to the US market for various facial augmentation applications.

This new device is constructed of a silicone elastomer bladder with an overlay of 50 microns (the average thickness of “fine hair”) of ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluouroethylene, the same thing Gore-Tex brand is made from).  The device is equipped with a self-sealing valve where saline is injected into the implant.

This design is said to be superior to the standard implants available on the market today, such as the implant I once had.  Mobility and palpability have always been issues involving solid ePTFE products.  With FulFil, these concerns have apparently  been lessened considerably as can be seen in a video clip of a patient using full range of motion of her lips. I would never guess she has an implant.

Anyway, more info can be found here: http://www.juvamedical.com/physician_ous.html

Hi, I have really appreciated your posts over the years. You do all of the work (such as your "can't live without products" and I just buy em and try em, it's awesome! (-:

I am really wanting fuller lips (they are very well shaped but too flat) I know you were leaning towards sili. Who do you think you would you go to and does this new implant sound more appealing to you so far?

Also, I have eyes that are pretty deep-set and the edges look tired (Im 29 but the always have seemed fattier on the outermost areas) My mom is the same way and my grandmother just had surgery on them actually, not cosmetic, so she could SEE! (-:

What do you suggest for such a situation? Could Silhouette Suture Lift address that issue? Wish I could send a photo to you privately... but here's the closest example of a normal person I could find: http://www.looseframing.com/my%20eyes.JPG

Actually, now that Ive been searching it's a lot like Jorja Fox's or Princess Diana's, one is a problem and the other isn't. (like one is the saggier skinned one) Thank you so much!!!!

Hi Fayth :)

Thank you so much for your email! I had this and had a brow lift to correct it but before you start for the big guns I would try a Botox lift.

Send me a pic to marianne@enhancementmedia.com and I will look more closely :) Do you live near LA?
